Joe Pesci and Robert De Niro chew plenty of scenery in Goodfellas, but the real focus of director Martin Scorsese's opus on mob life is Ray Liotta as real-world Irish-Italian mobster Henry Hill, a gangster who dreamed of making it to the top but landed in the witness protection program instead.
